Sneak Peek: Back Cover Text of Learning Environment Revealed
See What Advanced Readers Will Discover First
I received an unexpected treat in my inbox today - the description of the information that will be shared on the back cover of Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) of Learning Environment.
advanced readers are provided with an unpolished copy of a book
Admittedly, I don’t know much about the Advanced Reader process. However, based on a few AI-informed searches, I’ve learned that advanced readers are provided with an unpolished copy of a book in the hopes that they will read, review, and generate some buzz among their network. (for more about advanced (alpha) readers see this past post)
While I don't know who my publisher has tapped as my advanced readers, my guess is they will be influencers in K-12 education (if that’s even a thing) or those interested in science, the environment, and/or social justice.
I, too, will receive a few advanced reader copies in a few weeks, and when I do, I'll be sure to share them with you (along with pictures).
That said, let’s get to the back panel text…
for context…
experiential learning = learning by doing

I might as well get comfortable being a bit uncomfortable
While it is a bit uncomfortable reading about oneself and their teaching practice as described above (my book (and I) have a lot to live up to), I must admit it’s also pretty damn cool.
And while there is much I could say about what is written, I will simply choose to be excited about the next step in the publishing process. Indeed, how my work is marketed and received by the outside world is primarily out of my control, so I might as well get comfortable being a bit uncomfortable.
That said, I’d love to hear what you think about what was written. Please share a favorite line, an overall thought, or an additional idea in the comments section by clicking the button below.
As a new and relatively unknown author trying to build a platform, reading and sharing (wink, wink) this post with your network helps me get the word out (to share, click the button below).

This is high praise from Dr. Emdin! Your upcoming book looks awesome! I definitely want to learn more about canoeing down the Bronx River. That sounds like it was quite a learning experience.
