Learning Environment Is Finished

There are no more edits to be made.

My page proofs have been returned, and Learning Environment is finished.

This moment marks a major transition for me. From writer to author… for real.

In truth, I’m happy to see Learning Environment go. Good riddance, I say! I’ve put all I can into writing it, and it’s ready to be shared with the world.

I’m incredibly proud of being finished (and a big fan of celebrating success) and so grateful to have had the opportunity to document the actions, approaches, and stories I spent nearly two decades developing and refining in the classroom.

I hope the stories I share will be helpful and resonate with readers. Indeed, I believe deeply in them and their power to inform, inspire, and potentially transform classroom practices and learning environments for students and teachers alike.

I hope they will uplift and illuminate the need to support teachers and students in pursuing a better world. These chaotic times undoubtedly call for a beacon (or multiple beacons) of light.

While I’m confident that the message and themes I share will resonate with readers, I also know that the odds of my book cutting through the noise and making a splash are slim.

Let us not forget that I am an unknown author with a small (but mighty) following. My publisher, too, is small (but mighty). However, my book's endorsements thus far are promising (I’ll drop a few in the coming days or get a sneak peek here). Perhaps they will help my little book find the right readers and spur synergy.

Then, who knows?

Perhaps something big will happen. I’m certainly not opposed to the idea.

Indeed, everything I’ve ever accomplished in and out of the classroom has always started with a single positive step—the writing of Learning Environment is a case in point.

So let’s dream big friends because right now anything still seems possible.
