As hard as it is for me to believe, but Learning Environment’s book birthday is only a few short weeks away (launches 8/26 - come party in NYC).
And now that I’ve received my first official copy I am in a full on sprint to get the word out.
Admittedly, I’ve struggled a bit transitioning from writer to promoter, but I put everything I had into crafting this book and firmly believe in it’s ability to help transform teachers’ classrooms and their students’ learning experience, so the promotion party is on!
Besides…
Who knows?
This may be the only time I get the chance to experience the birth book of a book that I wrote, so I might as well enjoy it.
Interestingly, the promotional process has also given me the opportunity to connect with my teenage daughter who, despite not being allowed to be on any social media apps, has an instinctual ability to create digital content.
Take the video attached to this post - all her.
From ideation to filming to editing - she led me through the whole process (translation - I forgive her for continually chopping the top of my head out of frame).
In all seriousness though, seeing my daughter’s creative talents up close at such a young age has inspired and given me good reason to step outside my comfort zone.
In addition to this “long form” video (basically anything over 3 seconds these days, right?), I’ve been posting quite a bit across a variety of socials (see the links in my Substack bio for a peek at my latest posts).
And while I typically take in social media content as a passive consumer (eh hem, doom scroller), I must admit it’s a lot more fun to be on the creator/disseminator side of things.
So, while the days until launch continue to tick away, I hope you enjoyed the video (leave a comment and let us know what you thought) and that it has inspired you to pre-order a copy of Learning Environment today.
